CEHV steering committee member Sahar Heydari Fard will be featured in a pre-election panel discussion hosted by the Institute for Democratic Engagement and Accountability as part of Ohio State's Civil Discourse Project.
On Nov. 8, millions of Americans will cast their votes in the first federal election since the unprecedented events following the 2020 election. The midterms will be a major test of American democracy: How prepared are we? If you’re eligible, will you vote? We’ve learned since 2020 that the test extends beyond Election Day: If a race is contested, how should we sort through relevant information (and misinformation) to make up our own minds responsibly? How should we accept an outcome even if we don’t like it? What options do we have for justified civic action?
