Environmentalist and political activist Winona LaDuke is the Program Director of Honor the Earth. She has worked both nationally and internationally with others on the issues of climate change, renewable energy, environmental justice with Indigenous communities, and protect indigenous plants and heritage foods from patenting and genetic engineering. She will be coming to OSU for a lecture to discuss her work.

Honor the Earth is a nonprofit organization creating awareness and support for Native environmental issues, as well as developing needed financial and poitical resources for the survival of sustainable Native communities. Honor the Earth develops these resources mainly through the arts, music, media, and asking others to recognize our joint dependency on the earth and to be a voice for those not being heard.
