President Michael V. Drake and Provost Joseph E. Steinmetz have charged the President and Provost’s Council on Sustainability to develop strategic sustainability goals to make Ohio State a global model of sustainable operations and practices.

PPCS workgroups will make recommendations, with university community input, for sustainability goals in all four of the university’s overarching core goals:

  • teaching and learning
  • research and innovation
  • outreach and engagement
  • resource stewardship
Workgroups will meet to develop ideas and seek campus community input from mid-April to mid-May, and will report their progress at the May PPCS meeting. President Drake and Provost Steinmetz have asked to receive a list of recommended goals by early July.
