Piers Turner Co-authors New Book on Business Data Ethics
CEHV Director Piers Turner (Department of Philosophy) has co-authored a new interdisciplinary book, Business Data Ethics: Emerging Models for Governing AI and Advanced Analytics, with an Ohio State-based team of researchers including:
- Dennis Hirsch, Moritz College of Law and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Ohio State University
- Timothy Bartley, Earth Commons Institute and Department of Sociology, Georgetown University [formerly of Ohio State's Department of Sociology]
- Aravind Chandrasekaran, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University
- Davon Norris, Organizational Studies, University of Michigan, [formerly of Ohio State's Department of Sociology]
- Srinivasan Parthasarathy, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Ohio State University
The book is open access and available for download HERE.
Building on this research, Turner and Hirsch have also published a piece in The Conversation, "What is Ethical AI' and How Can Companies Achieve it?", exploring key ethical upshots for companies engaging in "beyond compliance" ethical thinking about AI.
