The annual Lawrence Negotiation Lecture this year will feature Kenneth R. Feinberg, who will be speaking on “Unconventional Responses to Unique Catastrophes: Tailoring the Law to Meet the Challenges.”  Feinberg has been key to resolving many of our nation’s most challenging and widely known disputes. He served as the special master of the federal September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2001, in which he reached out to all who qualified to file a claim, evaluated applications, determined appropriate compensation, and disseminated awards. Feinberg also served as special master for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and as administrator of the BP Deepwater Horizon Disaster Victim Compensation Fund. He is the author of Who Gets What: Fair Compensation after Tragedy and Financial Upheaval.
