What are the arguments for and against the morality of hunting? How can ethical principles be applied to contemporary wildlife management challenges?

Join us for a brown bag Zoom colloquium and discussion on Monday, March 29 (11:30am-12:30pm) with Jim Tantillo, lecturer in environmental ethics and environmental history at Cornell University in the Department of Natural Resources & the Environment.

Tantillo's work and scholarship have focused on the ethics and morality of hunting, and he is currently working on a multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder project to develop a comprehensive ethical analysis framework to guide wildlife management decisions such as deer herd control in urban and suburban settings.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to join in the conversation.

Tantillo's online talk is cosponsored by Ohio State's School of Environment and Natural Resources Wildlife Development Fund and the Center for Ethics and Human Values.
