Beginning in Spring 2020, CEHV will start a new program, the CARE Training Program, to support young investigators in their responsible conduct of research training.
The CARE Training Program will offer a multidisciplinary and foundational approach to ethical issues, led by trained CEHV ethicists. It will address core questions about conflicts of interest and authorship, but also questions about the researcher as advocate and the ethical challenges facing researchers during a humanitarian crisis.
Each session will involve a "flipped classroom" in which participants are encouraged to engage each other. Discussion will be based on a set of resources provided in advance by program leaders, including relevant readings and videos from original CARE events. Here is an example for "Conflicts of Interest."
CEHV's CARE Coordinators are Prof. Dana Howard and Prof. Pamela Salsberry. We are grateful to the Office of Research for their generous support.
