COMPAS COMMUNITY EVENT: Smart Justice - The All-Star Series
The U.S. Justice Action Network and The Buckeye Institute present Smart Justice: The All-Star Series Join Ohio Department of Rehabilitations and Corrections Director Gary Mohr, Ohio State all-star Maurice Clarett, and the Buckeye Institute's Robert Alt as they discuss personal stories and how Ohio can move the ball forward on Smart on Crime policy initiatives. The discussion will be followed by a brief reception with our speakers outside the Davidson Theater. For additional information and to register, please visit the Smart Justice event page. The U.S. Justice Action Network is the first action organization in the country to bring together progressive and conservative partners, collaborate with law enforcement, and employ federal and state-specific lobbying, public advocacy, and public education efforts to pass sweeping criminal justice reforms. The Buckeye Institute is Ohio's leading voice for evidence-based criminal justice reforms, spearheading efforts to reform civil asset forfeiture and successfully championing mens rea reform. Founded in 1989, Buckeye is an independent research and educational institution – a think tank – whose mission is to advance free-market public policy in the states. By producing timely and reliable research on key issues, compiling and synthesizing data, formulating sound free-market policies, Buckeye promotes free-market solutions for implementation in Ohio and replication across the country.
