Conspiracy theories have been around since ancient times. Today, the internet and social media have created an environment that enables conspiracy theories to be shared, and acted upon, in ways our society has never seen before. As an academic community, how do we engage with these ideas on our college campuses? Are they to be dismissed as too fringe to be considered in the public square? Should they be put through the same rigourous process as any other new idea or concept?
