Just prior to the annual meeting of the National Association for College Admission Counseling on September 22 & 23, Center for Ethics and Human Values Director Don Hubin will meet with the Steering Committee of NACAC to discuss the organization's code of conduct, the Statement of Principles of Good Practice. The Steering Committee is charged with reviewing and recommending revisions to the organization's rules of professional conduct and asked Professor Hubin to review the rules and policies to help provide the group with a fresh look at them. "I look forward to assisting the NACAC in this important project," Hubin said. "Higher education is increasingly important for success in our world and those working in the area of college admissions--whether as high school counselors, college admissions officers, or in some other capacity--are sometimes subject to institutional pressures and social demands that raise moral concerns." The Steering Committee meeting will take place on September 21.
