My work draws on the progressive education tradition, particularly Dewey, to deal with the broad question of what ought to be the aims of education in a democratic society. Specifically, I focus on the challenges the digital age poses to education, such as misinformation spreading in social media, the influence of algorithms (and the companies that built and control them) on our epistemic practices and democratic processes, etc. The overall theme or orientation I take is that education ought to, at the very minimum, make for better thinkers, as shown in a propaganda resilient public.
