Steven Wise was featured in the Columbus Dispatch yesterday in a story on his upcoming appearance in the NY State appeals court. Wise will be testifying on behalf of the rights of chimpanzees, arguing that they should be treated as a person with legal rights. Read more about his court case and arguments here.

Wise was recently at Ohio State as part of the 2016-17 COMPAS Program on Inequality. Following a screening of the documentary, Unlocking the Cage, which follows Wise in his pursuit of claiming rights for chimps, Wise spoke about his efforts and took questions from the audience.
